The Brazilian bioinputs market moved more than BRL 6.2 billion in 2025 and reached, across the entire national territory, a treated area of 194 million hectares. Data made available by CropData point to a new record in technology adoption. Producers' search for more sustainable and efficient solutions to combat pests was one of the main drivers of the sector.

Both the number of market participants and the availability of more products for the field generated greater market movement, offering farmers increasing access to different crop-management tools. The growth of the bioinputs market has a positive effect on productivity, costs and the combination of chemical and biological products, said Renato Gomides, executive manager at CropLife Brasil.

According to Amalia Borsari, CLB's director of bioinputs, bioinputs have moved beyond being a trend and have become a reality. Today, bioinsecticides, used for pest control, lead the market, followed by bionematicides, biofungicides and inoculants. These products have been gaining ground because problems such as caterpillars and whiteflies have shown resistance to traditional chemical crop protection products. Complex diseases such as white mold and rust are also controlled with biological products.
